Golden Chaos, 6x6"
Golden Chaos, 6x6"
This painting reminds me of being on the river, chest-deep in rapids, hoping for the best. Just when I thought all hope was lost and we would be swimming the rapid for certain, I noticed the sunlight glimmering off the churning chaos and was mesmerized. The fear receded to let laughter and trust carry us through.
This painting looks great in any orientation. See examples below.
DETAILS: Original encaustic painting on wood. 6x6,” 2024. Unframed art on a wood panel with 1+ 7/8” depth and white-washed edges. Hanging hardware included. Packed and shipped in insulated boxes to accommodate the fragility of the beeswax.
*Encaustic is a centuries-old painting process that uses melted beeswax, tree sap (damar resin), and oil paint. Beeswax is a natural surface and medium that may include tiny fibers or textures caught in the wax. This is a natural part of the process. The medium/surface takes two months to cure, so treat it gently until it is fully cured. Once fully cured, an encaustic painting can hang over a fireplace without melting. Even after curing, it is never recommended to hang encaustic art in direct light, close to a window, as the passive solar light can cause melting or sweating.
Note: Encaustic is a natural medium that may contain inclusions, such as air bubbles or particles, on the wax surface.
